On 25 June 2026, the FLEETfor55 project, represented by its Project Coordinator HYDRUS, participated in the Leading Sustainable Shipping Technologies Forum (LSSTF) in Hamburg, Germany.
The forum brought together experts from across the maritime sector to discuss the latest technological developments and collaborative approaches supporting the transition towards more sustainable shipping. As part of the programme, FLEETfor55 contributed to Session II: “Advanced Fuels and Scalable Retrofit Solutions,” where participants explored practical pathways for accelerating the adoption of innovative technologies and low-emission solutions in the maritime industry.
The session provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge with researchers, industry representatives, and other stakeholders, highlighting the importance of collaboration in transforming promising research and technological advances into scalable, real-world applications.
FLEETfor55 is committed to supporting the decarbonisation of the maritime sector by fostering innovation and strengthening cooperation across the European shipping ecosystem. Participation in events such as the LSSTF plays an important role in promoting dialogue, sharing project outcomes, and contributing to the development of sustainable solutions that support Europe’s climate objectives.
The project extends its sincere appreciation to the organisers of the Leading Sustainable Shipping Technologies Forum for hosting an engaging and valuable event, and thanks all participants for the insightful discussions and exchange of expertise.
FLEETfor55 looks forward to continuing these collaborations and contributing to the advancement of innovative technologies that will shape the future of sustainable maritime transport.
