Brussels- March 24th 2026
One year after its launch, the EU-funded FLEETfor55 project has published its first press release, taking stock of key achievements and milestones reached in its mission to decarbonise European waterborne transport. Launched in January 2025 under Horizon Europe, the project is developing a state-of-the-art energy efficiency technologies roadmap aligned with the EU’s Fit for 55 targets — and the first twelve months have laid a solid foundation across both technical and industry engagement fronts.
Key milestones include a Regulatory GAP Analysis Report, the launch of the Technologies Innovation Network, and the establishment of the External Advisory Board — all while building growing synergies with fellow Horizon Europe projects SEASTARS and AENEAS. Now in its second year, pilot programmes are underway and key dissemination events are already lined up for 2026. Read the full press release to find out more.
